History of Pro Action
Pro Action
of Steuben and Yates, Inc. was established as a result of the
Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 and has been serving the people of
Steuben and Yates Counties for more than 40 years. We are part
of a nationwide network of 1,100 Community Action
Agencies.
Community
Action Agencies are non-profit organizations that work to alleviate
the causes and conditions of poverty at the local level by providing
programs that are specific to the needs of the local community.

Pro Action's Board of

Pro Action is
governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives of the
public, low-income and private sectors from both Steuben and Yates
Counties. Our current Board Members are:

Pro Action Board Meetings are open to the public. We ask
that anyone wishing to attend a meeting call ahead (607) 776-2125
ext. 312) to confirm that the meeting is taking place and so we can make sure adequate seating is available.
The December meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15 at
10:00 a.m. at San Carlos Mexican Restaruant in Bath.
