UPK/Head Start Certified Teachers:
Pro Action's Head Start Program is seeking applicants for UPK/Head Start Certified Teachers for classrooms throughout Steuben and Yates Counties. Current opening in the Corning-Painted Post School District. Interested applicants must be dependable individuals with a positive attitude to provide Pre-K instruction in a classroom setting. Flexibility and good communication skills are desired. All positions require reliable transportation and valid driver's license meeting agency standards. Certified Teachers implement curriculum meeting the Head Start Early Learning Framework, Common Core and NYS Pre-K Learning Standards. This position will also support comprehensive services to children and families adhering to Head Start performance standards and NYS Day Care Regulations. These are full-time, 37.5 hour per week positions, based on the school calendar. Qualifications: Experience with preschool children, NYS certification ECE or Birth-Grade 2, NYS certification Special Education Birth-Grade 2.
Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Teacher - Hornell: The Early Head Start program is seeking a teacher to work with infants and toddlers in a center based program. Responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum while providing nurturing care. Must comply with Head Start Performance Standards and New York State Day Care Regulations. Minimum Requirements: Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working with infants/toddlers; prefer experience in an infant/toddler classroom setting. Reliable transportation and driver's license meeting agency standards required. 37.5 hours per week, 12 months, full benefits. Deadline: 2/2/15.
Bath Area Family Resource Center Part Time Assistant:
A flexible dependable self-directed individual with a positive attitude and the ability and desire to work with children and families. Responsible for assisting the BAFRC Coordinator with day to day operations of the center and oversight when the Coordinator is not available. Assist Coordinator in developing monthly calendar of programs, events and activities as well as maintain cleanliness of supplies and equipment. Working knowledge of database/spreadsheet applications to maintain detailed records. Awareness of community resources and supports available to families. Qualifications: Two year degree in related field or equivalent experience working with families and children. Ten (10) hours a week with some evenings and weekend hours including Thursday evenings. Background check will be required.
Long Term Substitute: Head Start/UPK Certified Teacher at Hornell:
Flexible, dependable individual with a positive attitude to work with local school districts in meeting Head Start Performance Standards and Universal Pre-K Standards. Experience with preschool children preferred. New York State Certification Birth to Grade 2 Required. Reliable transportation and driver's license meeting agency standards required. 37.5 hours per week beginning no later than March 2015.
