Site Manager:

Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is seeking a part-time Site Manager at our Lakeview Nutrition site.  This position will oversee the volunteers, pan entertainment and special events, complete statistical reports and other such duties as requested.  Interested individuals must have the ability to comply with Department of Health food and safety regulations, be friendly, outgoing and have the ability to interact with the elder population.  Prior supervisory and food service experience is preferred.  17.5 hours per week - Monday through Friday.  EOE.  9/7/15

Employment and Training Program Case Manager: Pro Action is seeking full time Employment and Training Program Case Manager.  This position will provide intensive employment case management to low income residents in Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler Counties as well as placing eligible individuals into training opportunities.  Strong communication and computer skills are required.  Familiarity with the health care industry is a plus.  Qualifications: Associates Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of 1 year experience or an equivalent combination of the education and experience will be considered.  Reliable transportation and a driver's license meeting agency standards are required.  Full time position with benefits.  EOE.  9/11/15

Emerging Workforce Navigator:

Pro Action is seeking an Emerging Workforce Navigator to provide employment case management services to at-risk youth and young adults.  Duties include participant recruitment, intake/assessment, pre-employment skills training, career/education counseling, supervision of paid and unpaid work experiences, and follow-up services.  Qualifications: Associate degree in Human Services or related field required, experience working with at-risk youth a plus.  40 hours per week, full benefits.  Driver's license meeting agency standards required.  EOE.  8/28/15

Job Coordinators:

Pro Action is seeing five (5) Job Coordinators for America's Job Centers.  Duties: coordinate office activities; schedule Job Center coverage and use of computer lab and resource room and other areas of the center; provide job search assistance and job coaching leading to customer employment; provide/coordinate pre-employment, job search and job retention skill workshops; provide excellent customer service to customers; make referrals to appropriate resources; provide initial orientation to Career Center services; effectively and productively handle complaints/emergency situations; facilitate community and agency partners to set up on-site job interviews, recruitments, job fairs and trainings.  Qualifications: Successful candidate must possess management/coordination experience, good communication skills and an Associate degree in Human Services or a related field with a minimum of 3 years working in Human Services.  Full time position, 37.5 hours per week.  EOE.  8/28/15

21st Century Site Coordinator (Campbell/Savona School District

School based 12 month position.  Responsible for the coordination and implementation of daily programming in partnership with the School District.  Programming includes structured recreation, academic support, field trips and enrichment activities. Qualifications: BS in Human Services, Education or related field with +2 years direct experience with youth recreation and youth development or equivalent education and experience.  Full time position, 37.5 hours per week, full benefits.  Driver's license meeting agency standards is required.  EOE.  9/7/2015


Coordinator of Family Enrichment and Early Literacy Collaborations:

This position will coordinate the implementation of strategic action plans from a year-long school readiness and success planning project; engage cross-sector support for strategies that address barriers to healthy child development and early literacy skill attainment; conduct monthly community education workshops/events at three locations in Steuben County; promote Family Resource Centers as points of access to parenting education, community resources and support; coordinate professional development opportunities for staff from area Child and Family Service programs and facilitate quarterly cross-sector networking sessions on related community issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Adult Education or Reading/Literacy with at least five years experience in a leadership role, including experience with leading community collaborations, staff supervision, budget management and fundraising or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of the specifically identified Steuben County priorities for young children and families and the programs, services and initiatives addressing those priorities is highly recommended.  Excellent organizational and time management skills and flexibility are required.  Driver's license meeting agency standards and reliable transportation are both required.  EOE

Pro Action's Head Start Program is seeking applicants for two UPK/Head Start Long Term Substitute Certified Teachers in our Penn Yan classrooms.  Interested applicants must be dependable individuals with a positive attitude and provide Pre-K instruction in a classroom setting.  Certified Teachers implement curriculum meeting the Head Start Early Learning Framework and NYS Pre-K Foundation for the Common Core.  Teachers provide comprehensive services to children and families and adhere to Head Start Performance Standards and NYS Day Care Regulations.  Flexibility and communication skills are desired.  Position requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license meeting agency standards.  Position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, based on the school calendar.  
Qualifications: NYS certification in Early Childhood Education or Birth - Grade 2; or NYS certification in Special Education - Birth - Grade 2.  Prior experience working with preschool age children, excellent organizational and time management skills and flexibility are required.  EOE

Certified Special Education Teacher: 

Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher in our Bath Cooktown classroom.  The Special Education Teacher plans and implements daily activities in the Head Start/Pre-K classroom in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, NYS Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations, NYS Education Department's Learning Standards and all other applicable program regulations.  Working in a team environment, the Special Education Teacher will ensure that IEP's goals are being met, screenings and assessments of the enrolled students, perform classroom and program modifications a needed, work with applicable agencies to ensure enrollment of children and organize parental meeting and parent involvement in the child's progress.  This is a full time, 37.5 hour per week school calendar position.  Strong verbal and
written communication skills are desired, with the ability to function as a team player.  Minimum educational requirements: Interested applicants must have a New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education/Pre-Kindergarten Special Education (Birth to 2nd Grade) along with previous teaching experience in and early childhood special needs classroom.  Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license meeting agency standards are both required.  EOE
