Family Development Worker/Home Visitor (Steuben County):
As part of the Family Enrichment Collaborative, the Home Visitor is responsible for providing strength based Family Development services to referred families where parents seek to initiate, restore and strengthen the ability to physically, emotionally and financially provide for their children. Direct support services include, but are not limited to: providing ongoing, individualized assessment of family strengths, needs and progress; assisting with identifying/completion of goals; providing information, referrals, access to resources; delivery of one-to-one parenting education and advocacy as needed; and working collaboratively to coordinate other services delivered by partnering agencies/family resource centers.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology; Family Development Credential preferred. Minimum of four years experience with home visiting and working with families and knowledge of Steuben County community resources and support services/programs or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Strong organizational skills, computer and communication skills required. Reliable transportation and driver's license meeting agency standards required. 35 hours per week, full benefits. Background check will be required.

Certified Special Education Teacher:
Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher in our Bath Cooktown classroom. The position plans and implements daily activities in the Head Start/Pre-K classroom in compliance with Head Star Performance Standards, NYS Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations, NYS Education Department's Learning Standards and all other applicable program regulations. Working In a team environment, the Special Education Teacher will ensure that IEP's goals are being met, conduct screenings and assessments of the enrolled students, perform classroom and program modifications as needed, work with applicable agencies to ensure enrollment of children and organize parental meetings and involvement regarding the child's progress. This is a full time, 37.5 hour per week position, following the school calendar. Strong verbal and written communication skills are desired, with the ability to function as a team player. Minimum educational requirements: Interested applicants must have a New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education/Pre-Kindergarten Special Education (Birth to 2nd Grade) along with previous teaching experience in an early childhood special needs classroom. Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license meeting agency standards are both required.
