HOW YOU CAN HELP

Welcome to Pro Action's WIC Program!

Contact WIC: (607) 776-1151 or 1-800-553-2033, ext. 220 or (607) 776-2125, ext. 220
or e-mail the WIC Program at: wic@proactioninc.com

WIC's mission is: to improve the nutrition and health status of low-income women, infants and preschool children who are at-risk by providing nutritious food, nutrition and health education, breastfeeding education and support, and referrals to health and human services.

All WIC services are free of charge to eligible participants.  Eligible participants are pregnant, breastfeeding or postpartum women, infants or children under the age of five with an income of 185% of federal poverty guidelines or less (see chart below for most recent income eligibility guidelines).

The WIC Program is designed to improve pregnancy outcome, promote optimal growth and development, and influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors for women, children and infants.

Two International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are on the WIC staff.

WIC clinics sites are located throughout Steuben County.  Early morning, evening and Saturday appointments are offered on a limited basis, in order to better accommodate working families.
