Steuben Family Enrichment Collaborative: A network of Family Resource Centers that provide in-home and community based support to provide strength-based services to families.  The collaboration includes services such as a Teen Parenting Group, Mom's Morning Out, Resource Libraries, Parent Education Classes, Youth Activities and others.  Partners in the collaborative include the Woodhull Family Resource Center, Jennie Mose Family Resource Center and the Nonnie Hood Parent Resource Center.  For more information on the Steuben Family Enrichment Collaborative, contact Linda George at (607) 776-2125 or 1-800-553-2033, ext. 131.

 

 

TASA (Teenage Services):  TASA serves pregnant, parenting and at-risk adolescents (young men and women under age 20 at the time of referral) and provides education, empowerment and referrals as enrollees are encouraged toward self-sufficiency.  A team of case managers work with teens to build on their strengths and promote self-reliance, helping them become better and more effective parents.  For more information on the TASA Program, call Pro Action at (607) 776-2125 or 1-800-553-2033, ext. 144 or 148. 

Teen Pregnancy Prevention & Education Panels:  Teen panels provide a forum in which Steuben County adolescents can hear first hand about the realities of being a teen parent and the value of abstinence.  For more information on Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Panels, contact Pro Action at (607) 776-2125 or 1-800-553-2033, ext. 143.

Woodhull Family Resource Center:  The center, located in the lower level of the Woodhull Town Hall, provides a variety of programs and services for families and individuals.  The center has a Lending Library and services offered include Literacy Volunteer services, GED classes, on-site emergency food pantry, and playgroups.  For more information, contact Kris Watkins, Project Coordinator at (607) 458-5164 or e-mail woodhullresource@infoblvd.net. 

 

Family Development Adult Services:  This program can provide guidance or support with budgeting, parenting, nutrition, health care, education, employment, transportation, family & community and housing.  A worker partners with program participants to help them recognize their strengths and needs, set reachable goals and develop a plan for achieving those goals.  For more information: (607) 776-2125 or 1-800-553-2033, ext. 119 or 113.
